There are always several programs going on under Helping Hands Angels

We are always looking for gently used clothes and household items. We clean them up and place them with families in need. Due to our small size we often partner with other nonprofits . These partnerships help us assist more families.

We also assist families dealing with domestic violence issues. This may be people reaching out to find out their options, all the way to helping them start over. We use a lot of referral partners, due to the complexity of DV. The needs are so great; a safe place to live, house hold items, personal hygiene items, birthday gifts, financial literacy, job interviewing skills, self esteem and the list goes on.

We have an ongoing blankets, gloves and socks drive. We may live in Florida, but the Winter nights get chilly with no heat. The socks are dual purpose, they warm hands and feet.

And many more projects throughout the year as the needs arise

We also welcome the opportunity to speak about the needs in the community, educate on our programs, and to discuss no tolerance for all forms of domestic violence.

You may find a job that turns into an amazing career you love. You may find that one true soul mate and live happy ever after. You may get to take amazing vacations full of great memories. But…….the one sure thing is you get one chance at this thing called life.

You have a choice to make every day. You can choose to be a positive force of nature, leaving things better as you pass through. You can also choose to do the opposite With every morning you have a new opportunity to make a difference You will make an impact today with every interaction you make, But……with a little effort what an amazing force a nature you will be

We are all so busy! We feel that we do not have time to accomplish what we needs to do and have so much stress. Ahhhh, but an act of kindness does not take much time at all

  • take time to call a friend and let them know they matter to you
  • pay the toll or food order for the person behind you, leave the message for them to have a great day
  • send a text (not group message) to remind the special people in your life you love them
  • ask someone how their day is going; stop look them in the eye and wait for their answer
  • compliment a stranger
  • notice the elderly person needing assistance and help them with a smile. Take the time to learn about their life
  • make eye contact and say hello to people you see
  • give a hug
  • spend time to get to know your co-worker or neighbor

and so on

We all will leave our footprint on the world when we leave, what will yours look like?
